I can’t believe I’m about to show you guys this…I fought with myself about whether it was a good idea for a good long while. But in the end I decided hey, this is what I do, I may as well share some of it with you!
Sooo here is a little collection of scenes from different jobs I’ve had recently, edited together for a ‘showreel’. Hopefully there will be many more jobs and many more scenes to add to it in the future.
It’s always nerve-racking showing work you’re in to people you don’t know very well. Scary scary scary!
Lots of lovin!
Sometimes you find a song, film, book or piece of art that really affects you. ‘Skinny Love’ does this for me. This song gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. I can’t decide whether it makes me happy or sad … possibly both at the same time. Either way I am so completely in love with this artist. The music and her voice are so emotive and really touch the soul.
Here she is doing a cover of ‘Skinny Love’ originally by Bon Iver. Please have a look, I promise you will not regret it.
What I find hard to believe is that this beautiful singer Birdy is only 15 years old, still at high school in the UK, sitting exams and dealing with life as a teenager. Birdy (aka Jasmine van den Bogaerde) was discovered when she won the Open Mic UK competition in 2008 at the young age of 12. Thank goodness for us!
I can’t find her album ‘Birdy’ here in Australia yet but I’m holding out till the day it arrives. What amazing talent she has! Such a blessing on the world.
Wow I didn’t know that at half-time at the Super Bowl they had a fricken concert! If you missed Madonna’s appearance check it out below. The choreography is pretty lame but it’s a spectacle all the same! Loved hearing her old classics in there as well. She’s still got it!
I’m totally gonna have to pull out my Madonna CDs now!
I have huge respect for this young fella below!
He’s giving the finger to large corporations in America that make their fortunes from genetically engineered food and selling dangerous herbicides. But he’s also done his research and knows what he’s talking about so it’s worth watching if you feel like learning a little about what’s going on with our food. Particularly these days when fresh/organic/free-range foods are getting more expensive and the majority of us try to cut costs. I know it’s different in every country but I’m sure I’d be shocked if I knew exactly what was happening to our food here in Aussie! Spending a few extra dollars seems worth it after hearing this little dude speak.
Have a look. He’s so passionate about what he’s saying, I was cheering along with everyone else!
And I agree, pigs should always get to roll around in mud! Choose organic and choose free-range. Better for the animals, better for us.
